According to a press statement by PRO Raj Bhavan, governor La. Ganesan, while delivering the keynote address described Buddha Purnima as a \u201cthrice-blessed day\u201d, marking Lord Buddha\u2019s life journey from Prince Siddhartha\u2019s renunciation to his enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>He emphasized the importance of self-awareness, compassion, and inner transformation, highlighting the relevance of Buddha\u2019s Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path in today\u2019s world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Quoting Buddha\u2019s words, \u201cI own nothing, and I am a nobody. That is why everything is mine,\u201d Ganesan encouraged people to lead with empathy rather than authority. He spoke on the global significance of Buddha Purnima, stating that millions across India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Southeast Asia, and beyond observed the day through meditation, acts of kindness, and reverence for the Bodhi Tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The program was chaired by Ashmita Lama, with a prayer by Monk Pasang Lama of Dimapur Tamang Buddhist Monastery. Ranjeet Lama, general secretary of TBAK, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Buddhi Lama, president of TBAK, shared greetings for Buddha Jayanti.
