The Kohima District Athletics Association (KDAA) organised the first-ever Kohima District Junior Athletics Meet 2025 at D. Khel Ground, Kohima on Saturday, witnessing enthusiastic participation from more than 180 young athletes representing various schools across the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event featured competitions in under-14 and under-16 categories for both boys and girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, special guest, Roko Angami, OSD for Sports under Youth Resources and Sports (YRS) department and treasurer of the Nagaland Football Association, encouraged participants to take sports seriously and pursue it with dedica-tion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He reminded the young athletes that sports was no longer a mere pastime or a means to secure backdoor appointments, but a platform that required discipline, commitment, and 100% effort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
