{"id":488599,"date":"2025-05-23T00:52:16","date_gmt":"2025-05-22T19:22:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=488599"},"modified":"2025-05-24T14:20:02","modified_gmt":"2025-05-24T08:50:02","slug":"fsa-conducts-special-drive-on-fruits-and-vegetables","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2025\/05\/23\/fsa-conducts-special-drive-on-fruits-and-vegetables\/","title":{"rendered":"FSA conducts special drive on fruits and vegetables"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In response to the increasing demand for fruits and vegetables in markets and their mass production during off-seasons, the Food Safety Authority (FSA), Department of Health &amp; Family Welfare, Nagaland conducted a special drive to assess the quality of these produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>According to a DIPR report, the initiative covered Mokokchung, Kohima, and Dimapur districts, focusing on commercial distributors supplying to rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>To ensure compliance with safety standards, Food Safety Officers (FSOs) collected survey and enforcement samples for laboratory analysis. The Food Safety on Wheels (FSWs) Team also performed on-spot adulteration tests during inspections conducted on May 1, May 7, and May 8, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>A total of 18 samples were collected and sent to various laboratories for detailed testing, with results currently awaited.
