A special day long tour was organized for students and staff of Sainik School Punglwa at Ghaspani by 20 AR on Saturday with an aim to give students an insight to life of a soldier and the activities of a fighting unit ready to take on challenge anytime the situation demanded.\nAccording to a defence release, the children on their arrival at Ghaspani were taken to the office of the commandant where they were given opportunity to informally interact with all officers of the unit which saw many queries from the students pertaining to army as a career and future prospects getting answered, then they were taken to the firing range, where they witnessed a display of an array of weapons and the might of an infantry unit.
\nThe students were also taken to the computer training cell followed by an enthralling performance of the bands.
\nA session of cartoon movie and trick games specially organized also saw active participation from the students.
\nLater on, the regimental doctor carried out medical examination for all students.
\nMeanwhile Gp Capt B Janardhanan, Principal of the school expressed gratitude for the tour organised for the students of class 9 Sainik School Punglwa and stated that it would remain etched in the psyche of children and help them in becoming responsible citizens in times to come.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
