State home minister, Imkong L Imchen Friday said Naga undergrounds might have their good political reason for political struggle but the struggle should not be at the expense of the children and posterity. “If we lose our children today, we lose everything for tomorrow,” he said.\nAddressing the mammoth gathering at Holy Cross Higher Secondary School (HCHSS) parents’ day celebration here as chief guest, Imchen further advocated that in the process of “political struggle” prospect of students should not be disturbed, while appealed for keeping “mental environment of the students wider.”
\nThe home minister further said that it was possible only when “criminal activities” was stopped in the state. He went on to add that “you can not do this at the expense of our children because they are our future.”
\nAlso congratulating the school (Catholic institution) for providing “unimaginable good education to the state” Imchen said the institution has produced a “galaxy” of imminent administrators and officials, adding “your input into education has transcended my imagination.”
\nHe also acknowledged that all achievements the institution has produced was due to effort, understanding and support of the parents.
\nFurther lauding the teachers’ community for their dedication and determination, home minister said “you are god and creator besides God and parents.”
\nEarlier, speaking as guest of honour, bishop of Nagaland, Rt. Rev. Jose Mukala D.D said education of the children was one of the primary duties of the parents.
\nHe maintained that the institution wanted children’s education to be groomed with faith and discipline.
\nRev. Mukala while saying its essential aim of education was to make it to the fullest pledged the institution would do its best to provide quality education.
\nMeanwhile, parents’ day was marked with much fan fare and cheerfulness. Students of various classes performed variety of show and enthralled the gathering including parents, teachers and well wishers present at the celebration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
