According to police, about forty to fifty NSCN (I-M) activists had gone to the village to chase out the rival activists, and in the ensuing exchange of fire, the NSCN (K) activist was killed. Police recovered seven empty cases and two bullet heads of AK-47 from the spot. Police also recovered an abandoned Gypsy (NL-07-6897) from the area.
