According to a press release issued by T Menkhu Konyak, President NPF 48th  Moka A\/C the new members include A.Nyamnysi, former minister and vice president NPCC , Haojok joint secretary NSUI and L Ekham former general secretary BJP Mon district. The press note thanked them for joining the party and strengthening it. The release also lauded the advisor DUDA &#038;VG EE. Pangteang for taking up various developmental activities in infrastructure, roads, communications and drinking water etc. in the Assembly constituency for the last six years.<br \/>\nFGN defectors clarify <\/p>\n<p>DIMAPUR: Two FGN officials by the name L. L. Sangtam, U.S.R. Regional Secy. and Capt. Atringse Sangtam who recently defected from FGN\/NNC and joined NSCN\/GPRN stated that they left the organization not because they have no grudge against the FGN government but only because of the arbitrary incompatible activities of Thripongse, Medan Peyu, U.S.R. and 19th Battalion Commander I\/C Lithrichunl.<br \/>\nAccording to press release issued by MIP\/ GPRN the defectors declined to go any further about wrongs of their higher-ups but disclosed that, while United Sangtam Likhunl Pumji and Kiphire district GBs\/DBs and the whole public were not in a position to co-operate with their self-centered higher-ups, it has become impossible for them to work any further with FGN government under the leadership of their immediate superiors.<br \/>\nFIAC at Aghunato <\/p>\n<p>DIMAPUR: Farm Information and Advisory Centre (FIAC)-ATMA for Tokiye Block was inaugurated on July 13 at SDAO office, Aghunato, by Ahovi Sumi, DAO, Zunheboto.<br \/>\nThe DAO in his speech explained in detail the working principle and purpose of FIAC and said that it would be managed by the Block Technology Team (BTT) members at the same time urged farmers to use the facilities to their advantage. All BTT members from Agri and Allied departments attended the programme.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the farmers\u2019 awareness campaign on rodent-pest was also conducted at Indoor Stadium, Aghunato with Akato Sumi, ADC, Aghunato, as chief guest who encouraged the farmers to take full resources provided by the department and to put into practice. Hukhato Sumi, SDAO, Satakha, who was the resource person stressed upon the menace of rodent in agricultural fields following bamboo flowering and also explained the control measures of the rodent-pest incidence. Both the session was chaired by K, Pekiye Sema, SDAO, Aghunato, who also remarked the detailed instructions on use of rodenticide while distributing the same to the farmers. About 70 farmers from 33 villages attended the training.<br \/>\nLSU support USSC<\/p>\n<p>DIMAPUR: The Langkon Students\u2019 Union (LSU) has unanimously decided to support the United Sangtam Students\u2019 Conference. Referring to the news item issued in some local dailies under the caption\u2019 USSC resolution null and void\u201d on June 24 issue, LSU maintained that under any circumstances it would not be subjected to any element which was against the conference without authenticity on any issue.
