Highlighting the significance of the festival, Jamir said \u201cthe festival (post harvest festival) is present in tribes all over Nagaland and communities around the world.\u201d<br \/>\nCommenting on social responsibilities Jamir emphasized the root cause of all the complexities and disenchantment in the world today was \u201cwithin us.\u201d \u201cThere is suspicion, disunity and bloodshed everywhere and a fear within our minds and if such developments continue, the future looks bleak,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nHighlighting about global warming Jamir said it was a sign of \u201cour misdoings\u201d, and added that \u201cif we want to change the future, it is our responsibility to take the initiative.\u201d In this regard he urged the gathering not only to be onlooker but contribute in ones own way to rectify it.<br \/>\nThe MLA, however, said if there was sincerity, commitment and love, the venture that the college embarked to win souls would be successful.<br \/>\nRelating the popular adage \u201ca hungry man is an angry man\u201d, the chief guest said \u201cif we are filled physically and spiritually we will be able to guide the society better.\u201d<br \/>\nIn a short exhortation, former IGP (prison), N. Tali Jamir urged the communities to preserve their culture and traditions by organizing such occasions.<br \/>\nHe also advised the students to become devoted Christians and sacrifice time to spread the word of God.<br \/>\nEarlier, the programme started with an invocation by WBC lecturer, Ranjit and introduction and gifts presentation by WBC founder, Rev.
