A brand new bike, belonging to a journalist of Nagaland Post, which was lifted on August 28 from Half Nagarjan colony, Dimapur, remained untraced. Police asserted they were investigating and the case not taken lightly. Surprisingly, the police officer who is investigating the case is out of station. Clues have been provided to the police and they are on the hunt for the stolen bike. However, the police appeared to be grappling with case.  Newer vehicles are stolen for resale or transportation to the neighbouring states. Thieves armed with skeleton keys and the skills to disable even alarm systems have made their profession easier.<br \/>\nDPC condemns<br \/>\nThe Dimapur Press Club (DPC) has expressed \u201cshock\u201d on learning about the theft of the Motorcycle belonging to one of its members. Vehemently condemning the incident, the DPC in a statement said as it was \u201cdirectly an attack on the members of the Fourth Estate.\u201d With the perpetrators of the crime yet to be brought to book and the Motorcycle yet to be recovered, the DPC has urged the Police to expedite their investigation process and recover the stolen bike and also book the culprits at the earliest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Public across the state continue to pay the price for the ever increasing problem of vehicle theft, yet the police fails to act fast in many cases.
