Chief minister Neiphiu Rio on Saturday stressed on the necessity of quality control for progress in the state and said without quality control, there would be liability in the government.\nAddressing the silver jubilee of the Angami Gazetted Officers\u2019 Krotho (AGOK) at IG Stadium, the chief minister called upon the officers to implement quality control to lead the society to greater heights.
\nStating that some aids given by the government were being misused, Rio advised beneficiaries as well as government servants not to eat the seed, but to eat the fruits, and to learn to earn, save and invest resources.
\nAs responsible leaders and officers, he said it was the duty of the officers to teach frugality to each individual.
\nCommenting on the extravagant eating habits and unhealthful lifestyle of many Nagas, the chief minister said Nagas should be health conscious, starting with the officers.
\nPointing out that a good government depended on the people, he urged the officers and leaders to give extra efforts in changing the people.
\nRio said government officials should carefully implement the policies of the government and sincerely perform their duties not just for themselves but also for the benefit of the society.
\nLauding AGOK for completing 25 years, Rio said the \u201cjubilation\u201d should be the beginning of a new landmark where AGOK would lead the Nagas towards unity and prosperity.
\nNPCC president KV Pusa, MLA, the guest of honour in his speech called upon the Angamis to showcase their positive working ethos, oneness, moral values and set good example for other tribes to emulate.
\nPusa said Angamis must do away their pride and egos, which he said would hamper progression. He also said Angamis should change the mindset of \u201ceat to live and live to eat\u201d but rather live and seek for knowledge.
\nCongratulating AGOK, the NPCC president said the celebration was a time to honour the pioneers, retrospect one\u2019s failures and successes, forgive and reunite and plan ahead.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
