Jawarahal Nehru,  is a center for enhancing creativity among children of the where various activities of children on science, literary, creative arts, integrated activities, performing arts and physical activities are  provided.<br \/>\nIn his address , Mr. Chotisuh Sazo, expressed deep appreciation  to  the National Bal Bhavan for facilitating  the department of social welfare in establishing the first ever Bal Bahvan in the state, adding &#8220;this Bal Bhavan will provide opportunities to children for enhancing  their creative potential  and developing qualities  of self-reliance , self -discipline , social services etc.<br \/>\nLauding the effort of National Bal Bhavan for setting  up the Bal Bhavan in the state, Mr. Sazo  also urged  upon them  to open one Bal Bhavan each  in all the 11  districts  and also to provide adequate financial  assistance  to the department for expansion of the Bal Bhavan.<br \/>\nHe also advised the children to make proper use of the facilities offered by Bal Bhavan to enable them to enhance their creative potential and become responsible citizens and also appealed to the public to take care of the Bhavan as their own as it belongs to everyone.<br \/>\nIn his address Group Vaptian HL Dhawan, Representatives  of National Bal Bhavan(NBB) , New Delhi said that there are a total of 105 Bal Bhavan in the  country  and the NBB  plans to open  a Bal Bhavan each in all the northeast. He said that with the opening of Nagaland Bal Bhavan  it would immensely  help the growth of all round personality development  of the children in the state.<br \/>\nMr. Sharat Kumar, Nodal officer, NE , Bal Bhavan said that  said that with the opening of the Bal Bhavan in Nagaland , the activities of the Bal Bhavan  will increase and expand manifold . He also informed that soon another Bal Bhavan will be opened in Mizoram. He also urged the state to sent 20 children for the upcoming Inter-state festival, which is scheduled in Manipur in January 2009.<br \/>\nEarlier the function was chaired by Mrs. Khrievotou, additional secretary department of social welfare, prayer was led by pastor Hotokhu Zhomo, pastor su,m BC  and the vote of thanks was rendered by Nochet Aier, director Social welfare  .
