Deputy Commissioner Maongwati Aier said praise and worship to God was an obligation rather a command and should be done in true spirit.\nAddressing the congregation at praise and worship fellowship from various Churches located at Dimapur, hosted under the theme \u201cUnited Praise\u201d \u2018Love Conquers All\u2019 at Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA) English Service, Sunday, DC expressed the need to praise and worship God in true spirit and said \u201cGod is worthy to be praised and worshipped with all our hearts\u201d
\n“If people worship in true spirit there will be a reward for them like Abraham in the Bible who in having faith with God was ready to sacrifice His only son and was blessed with many descendants”, he said.
\nHe also explained the significance of Talit (Jewish word for prayer shawl) he wore at the programme which was gifted to him during his trip to Israel. Mention may be made that among the Jewish faithful, wearing the Talit (also transliterated as Tallit and pronounced Talis in Yiddish) has been a time-honored tradition based upon several Biblical commandments.
\nSharing on the occasion, the Editor of Nagaland Post, Geoffrey Yaden emphasized on worshipping God through continual prayer and meditation to build relationship with God. He said \u201cGod\u2019s word is new every morning and Christ wants us to be ready and vigilant\u201d adding that only by faith- \u201ctotal obedience\u201d in God\u2019s word, could the relevance of salt and light be fulfilled. He however remarked, many people failed to follow the narrow road rather go for enjoying freedom.
\nHe further said, DABA having opened the door to have fellowship with one another and nurture the growth of others, the association should follow the foot steps of \u201cour forefathers\u201d and carry forward the word of God as real worshippers and expand the Kingdom of God in today\u2019s changing concept and events around the world.
