Hoshi the response of the NPSC on the recent prelims result has set a “very bad precedence” which he described as “the worst practical joke on thousands of youths aspiring to become responsible officers” no matter under whatever circumstance of compelling situation the NPSC was faced with.
He said the NPSC response could only be explained in either of the two reasons- that it was “thoroughly incompetent” or that “the whole episode was hatched by a deep-rooted conspiracy.” Further, he slammed the NPSC for refusing to divulge the name of a company which was given the responsibility of conducting the Prelims examination adding it indicated that the “NPSC team is without work.”
He said it was also appalling that the NPSC further levied an “exorbitant rate” of Rs.500 for re-evaluation of answer papers “for no fault of the candidates.”“The habitual errors of omission and commission by the NPSC are untenable and too obvious to believe to be simple human error or technical flaw as they claimed” he said. Hoshi said it would not be a surprise if affected candidates who have already spent a lot of their parents’ money for the NPSC exams decide to take it to task by filing a PIL. The NPCC media cell member said the NPSC under the present team “has lost its credibility” by making the NPSC a mockery and to “lose its autonomous status for its own scheme of things dictated by their political masters”. Stating that though the NPSC is an autonomous body, yet it did not absolve the state government of responsibility over its conduct.
Hoshi said the NPSC needed a total revamp as much damage has been caused to aspiring candidates and to the reputation of the NPSC .He therefore demanded that the present team should own moral responsibility and resign. He said when “such voluntary actions are least expected from irresponsible people holding responsible posts”, it became the duty of the state government to fix responsibility as the appointing authority to prevent future recurrence.
Hoshi said the DAN government should also own moral responsibility by taking prompt action in order to clean up the NPSC to prevent “repeated rampant corruptions”. If not, then the government should admit that the NPSC runs “under its strings of push and pull” that has caused confusion within “ the so-called autonomous body.”

Drawing attention on the recent NPSC prelims result fiasco, the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee said it was pained to seen “another ugly incident of corruption” in the NPSC.
