\nAccording to NSCN (I-M) Naga Army PRO on that fateful day of October 3, at around 1: 30 p.m. four of its cadres, out of sheer madness, gunned down five seniors, leaving another three critically injured and fled along with six arms.
\nThe deceased have been as \u201ccapt.\u201d Kapangmi,WTR; \u201csgt. maj.\u201d Ashikho, SPMTH; \u201csgt. maj.\u201d Babylon, Khurmi; \u201csgt.\u201d Abner, WTR; \u201ccorpl.\u201d Vihokhe Sumi while the injured cadres were identified as \u201c2nd lieut.\u201d Ashon Chiru, ZLR; \u201c2nd lieut.\u201d Boaz Raman, WTR and \u201ccorpl.\u201d Mayarshang, WTR.
\nMeanwhile, the NSCN (I-M) has identified \u201cdeceitful murderers\u201d as \u201clance corpl\u201d Lanting Kumar, Komrem region; \u201clance corpl\u201d Shonboy, Komrem region; \u201clance corpl\u201d Nzanchumo Lotha and \u201cprivate\u201d Amang, ZLR.
\nMaintaining that \u201cdeserters\u201d were not arrested but surrendered along with arms to the security force, the \u201ccol.\u201d Levi Zimik said it was \u201cobviously a premeditated plot\u201d of the \u201cunfaithful fellows\u201d in collusion with the adversary for their own selfish end. Asserting what prompted the \u201csupposedly disoriented cadres\u201d to take such an extreme step of \u201celiminating their own brothers in cold blood and leave their base\u201d could not be ascertained, the NSCN (I-M) said: \u201cwhatsoever their justification may be, they cannot escape the wrath of the nation for the most heinous crime they had committed.\u201d
\nFurther, the NSCN (I-M) noted that \u201cunscrupulous fellows\u201d not only violated the oath of allegiance but had committed a gruesome act on their own volition upon their own brothers and against the nation which deserves condemnation in the strongest term.
