Shillem, who had filed for information under Right to Information (RTI) Act, for the natural calamity relief for 2007 of Tuensang district stated that, in Tuensang there were 3245 beneficiaries allocated  with  Rs. 11, 68,200, Longkhim- Chare 360 beneficiaries allocated  with  Rs. 1, 29,650, Tuensang Sadar 1676 beneficiaries allocated  with  Rs. 5, 28,950 and Noksen 1033 beneficiaries allocated  with Rs. 3, 75,900 and special cases to 8 beneficiaries with an  amount of Rs. 2, 28,000.<br \/>\nThe total amount for the natural calamity relief for the Tuensang district was Rs. 24, 30,700.  The DYC alleged that each beneficiaries of this constituency received only Rs 200 from the responsible department. However,the DYC  said that the 1034 beneficiaries from Shamator &#8211; Chessore and 1554 beneficiaries for Noklak- Thonoknyu recieved the funds directly released from Home department Kohima.<br \/>\nDistrict Youth Congress,Tuensang questioned how the funds were released directly from Home department. Alleging that Shamator- Chessore, Noklak-Thonoknyu constituencies were from ruling constituency with one cabinet minister and two parliamentary secretaries from these constituencies, the DYC said those constituencies recieved the funds directly from the department.<br \/>\nThe DYC Tuensang said that for three blocks including, Shamator- Chessore, Noklak and Thonoknyu should draw the amountfrom the DC office and demanded to repayment of the amount to beneficiaries immediately for their benefit .<br \/>\nThe DYC  also sated that there were 8 special beneficiaries clearly shown in the record who had drawn Rs. 2, 28,000 and asked the concerned authorities to clarify soon so as to avoid any misunderstanding amongst the people in the near future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The natural calamity relief for Tuensang district has come under the scanner of District Youth Congress Tuensang after finding anomalies in the funds meant for the genuine beneficiaries of the district.
