{"id":53504,"date":"2009-11-21T12:26:11","date_gmt":"2009-11-21T12:26:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2009\/11\/21\/nuntsa-to-continue-stir\/"},"modified":"2009-11-21T12:26:11","modified_gmt":"2009-11-21T12:26:11","slug":"nuntsa-to-continue-stir","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2009\/11\/21\/nuntsa-to-continue-stir\/","title":{"rendered":"NUNTSA to continue stir"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>The Nagaland University Non-Teaching Staff Association (NUNTSA) has decided to continue its agitation in the form of total cease-work, which entered the third day on Friday, till fulfillment of their demands.<br \/>\nThe NUNTSA agitation began on Wednesday over the non-fulfillment of their charter of demands by the Nagaland University authorities. The decision to continue the agitation was taken during the NUNTSA general body meeting held on Friday.<br \/>\nAccording to a NUNTSA statement issued jointly by its president, Medo Chirhah, vice president, Khotuo Suokhrie and general secretary, Lanuzulu, the house viewed with serious concern the Office Memorandum issued by the NU Registrar asking the striking non-teaching staff to resume duties with immediate effect and threatening to enforce the principle of \u201cNo Work No Pay.\u201d The NUNTSA observed it as a \u201cdirect insult\u201d to the Association with the sole motive of suppressing its democratic and peaceful movement in fighting for genuine rights.<br \/>\n\u201cThe Vice Chancellor and the Registrar should have rather attended to the needs of the Association by being present in office instead of running away,\u201d the NUNTSA said and alleged that the two officials have shown least concern and taken no initiative to resolve the issue.  Regarding the September 26, 2008 agreement, the NUNTSA said it was unaware of such agreement and was never a party to such an agreement or a signatory.
