The association in a joint press statement issued by Dr. Rudra, president and Wenyitso Kapfo, general secretary has reaffirmed to accept 6th UGC ROP package in totality without any modification and to overhaul the 2003 service rules.<br \/>\nAssociation stated that although revised regulations were \u201cunprecedented stringent\u201d, it would prove to be instrumental in improving the scenario of higher education system in the state.<br \/>\nThe house also resolved to press the government for total implementation of incentives.<br \/>\nAccording to All Nagaland Government College Teachers\u2019 Association , its members also voiced concern over the adverse affects on landscape of higher education in the state by perpetual conflict in Nagaland University and resolved to urge state government to intervene in the matter on behalf of the people.<br \/>\nThe press statement added that as provided in Nagaland University ordinances, two members were to be drawn from affiliated colleges and accordingly, association had written twice to university for implementation of the provision, the latest being in May 2009 but so far no acknowledgement had been received.<br \/>\nAll Nagaland Government College Teachers\u2019 Association appealed that university needed input and cooperation of college teachers to improve in administration and management which directly involved future of college education.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All Nagaland Government College Teachers\u2019 Association (ANGCTA) in an executive meeting held on March 12 at Kohima Science College discussed on implementation of 6th UGC ROP and Nagaland University (NU) imbroglio.
