\nTerming the incident as direct provocation against the Komrem tribe in particular and the GPRN in general, NSCN (I-M) stated that such blatant and inhuman act violating basic human rights finds no place in a civilized society and such misadventures of the Kuki undergrounds in the past resulted in loss of countless lives which continued till today.
\nNSCN (I-M) also stated that it was their principle that all tribes\/communities, big or small were equal on the issue of tribal identity and imposition of one\u2019s identity to other was strictly prohibited.
\nHowever, in the case of Komrem tribe, the Nagas, and Komrem community have been living together peacefully as brothers for many years, \u201cso their identity will remain as it is, and shall be under the administrative jurisdiction of the GPRN\u201d, the statement added.
