{"id":5641,"date":"2008-11-07T00:33:36","date_gmt":"2008-11-07T00:33:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2008\/11\/07\/state-govt-ar-partisan-nscn-im\/"},"modified":"2008-11-07T00:33:36","modified_gmt":"2008-11-07T00:33:36","slug":"state-govt-ar-partisan-nscn-im","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2008\/11\/07\/state-govt-ar-partisan-nscn-im\/","title":{"rendered":"State govt, AR \u2018partisan\u2019: NSCN-IM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>NSCN (I-M) has accused both the State government and the Assam Rifles of playing a partisan role in dealing with erring factional cadres not observing ceasefire ground rules.<br \/>\nThe MIP\/GPRN in a press release said the 26 Assam Rifles had Wednesday apprehended three NSCN (K) activists moving in a white Bolero (NL 10-3685) along with arms from Cathedral area, New Ministers\u2019 Hill, Kohima.<br \/>\nAsserting that the white Bolero the NSCN (K) activists were traveling in was a State government vehicle, the NSCN (I-M) said the State police and Home department have to answer two questions \u2013 \u201cwho sanctioned the vehicle to be used by K-group for anti-social works?  And who is the authorized owner of the vehicle? \u201d<br \/>\nAlleging that crimes go on unabated in Kohima and Dimapur in the hands of \u201cK-group\u201d, the NSCN (I-M) said the abduction of four businessmen from Agri and Jail colonies in Kohima on November 5 were just the latest case in point and that many other crimes committed by the NSCN (K) went unreported.<br \/>\nThe NSCN (I-M) also claimed that of the three NSCN (K) activists apprehended from the State government vehicle, one was identified as Isak Sumi, the \u201cK-group military spokes person.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cBut what matters most is the leniency extended to any arrested cadres of K-group. Had the three been NSCN members NSA would have been applied. This is the tragic state of treatment meted out by state police in collaboration with AR and intelligence agencies against NSCN,\u201d the NSCN (I-M) said.<br \/>\nNSCN (I-M) reminded out that two of its activists &#8211; Akato Sumi and Hureya Sumi \u2013who were recently apprehended from Dimapur were booked under NSA.<br \/>\nHitting out at the manner of raiding the areas of suspected NSCN (I-M) places in Kohima and Dimapur, the NSCN (I-M) also accused security forces of hardly conducting raids against the NSCN (K), by taking shelter in the false reports of intelligence sources about the hideouts of K-group.<br \/>\n\u201cWhen businessmen are abducted to be slaughtered if the demanded amount is not paid, what greater crime is the state government looking for that warranted immediate action under NSA? What manner of public security measure is the state government adopting to ensure public security, particularly the businessmen who have been placed at the receiving ends?\u201d NSCN (I-M) asked.<br \/>\nWhile stating that the NSCN (I-M) would not obstruct Assam Rifles in performing their duty, the NSCN (I-M) however cautioned that if the same yardstick was not applied to all cadres, then it would become an issue that \u201ccannot be overlooked under any circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NSCN (I-M) has accused both the State government and the Assam Rifles of playing a partisan role in dealing with erring factional cadres not observing ceasefire ground rules.
