\nShe made headlines \u2013 and raised eyebrows among the notoriously close-knit tennis set \u2013 with her enthusiastic support for Murray at Wimbledon last month and then followed him to a tournament in Spain.
\nNow it appears she is planning a trip to the US Open this month in the hope of again sharing the spotlight with him.
\nBut while it is clear that both have come through a great deal \u2013 they survived the Dunblane Primary School shooting massacre \u2013 it also seems that Miss Brown\u2019s adulation of her ex-classmate is causing something of a stir in his four-year relationship with his sweetheart Kim Sears, 21.
\n\u2018Kim is fully supportive of Andy,\u2019 revealed a friend.
\n\u2018But ever since this year\u2019s Wimbledon she\u2019s become more aware that he\u2019s a sex symbol and is increasingly becoming frustrated by the constant presence of Katharine at his matches.\u2019
\nInsiders say Andy\u2019s mother Judy is concerned that his legion of female fans could detract from her ambitions for him to lift a US title.
\n\u2018Judy is fond of Katharine and they even teamed up with her on charity fund-raisers but since she won the Miss Scotland title, Judy\u2019s concerned that the spotlight has been taken away from Andy\u2019s tennis.\u2019
\nMiss Brown \u2013 who is single and says she\u2019s looking for Mr Right \u2013 has been open in her admiration of Murray, even appearing on television to address speculation.
\nThe blonde, who won the Miss Scotland title in March said: \u2018It will be great to go to New York and the US Open. I\u2019ll go and hang out with them in New York, definitely.\u2019
