{"id":59312,"date":"2010-05-04T01:14:23","date_gmt":"2010-05-04T01:14:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2010\/05\/04\/moatsu-celebration-continues\/"},"modified":"2010-05-04T01:14:23","modified_gmt":"2010-05-04T01:14:23","slug":"moatsu-celebration-continues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2010\/05\/04\/moatsu-celebration-continues\/","title":{"rendered":"Moats\u00fc celebration continues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Celebration of Moats\u00fc, the premiere festival of the Ao Nagas continued for the third on Monday as Khar villagers under Mokokchung district organized a grand celebration here at their village with the celebration was graced by minister for home, Imkong L Imchen as the chief guest. <br \/>Addressing the gathering, Imchen opined that Nagas were in the midst of a revival culturally and traditionally and added that this was made possible only through the prevalence of relative peace in the state and the initiative of the DAN government. He said peace and security was a requirement for every Nagas and that it was the priority of the DAN government. He further added that a situation was fast approaching where people\u2019s liberty would be supreme. <br \/>He also mentioned about the recently concluded state wide Road Show held at Mokokchung, terming it as a pride for all the Nagas, and explained the aims and objectives of the declaration of the Year of the Entrepreneur as one of the flagship programs.<br \/>He also expressed hope that through declaration, many youngsters would get the opportunity to start entrepreneurial ventures. <br \/>Lamenting about the consumerist nature of the Naga society, the chief guest called upon all to change their mindset and work accordingly so Nagas can become a producing state.  The minister was accompanied by L. Temjen Jamir MLA and Advisor NBDA who also spoke at the program. Other speakers of the program included Lanukaba President Farmer\u2019s Association NPF Nagaland and Aolepden, president NPF Mkg Division. The program was later followed by a cultural extravaganza with songs, music and dance followed by a Moats\u00fc feast. <br \/>Earlier before the program started, the chief guest laid the foundation stone of Khar village community cum cultural hall. <br \/> Aoyimti village: The Ao community of Aoyimti village celebrated Moats\u00fc festival on  Monday with Medziphema BDO Taliyanger as chief guest at Aoyimti children park. <br \/>The function started off from the main gate of Aoyimti (S\u00fcngk\u00fcm) and proceeded towards community hall where the beating of the traditional log drum was held. The chief guest in his speech lauded the Aoyimti council for carrying the traditional values to the people and also for the developmental work carried out by the council.
