\nThe contest is a non- profit event conducted to encourage, motivate, showcase and create a platform for talented Nagas. Speaking to Nagaland Post, event director Robust Network Meren Supong said the event has been initiated with the objective of making laughter a common thread to bring people together.
\nHe also said that the each audition would see local and maybe national celebrities as judges and they have even roped in Ne Tv to broadcast the show.
\nStating that the voting for the contestants would be done through SMS, Meren said it would make for a convenient voting for every section of people.
\nThe main dialect for the competition would be Nagamese, Hindi and English. There would be an audition cum road show in five major districts followed by a series of rounds where winners will progress to the next round and the contestant with the least votes would be eliminated through a poll of Sms voting, and winding up with a Grand Finale to declare the winner.
\nThe winner of \u2018Naga Laughter Sensation\u2019 would win a grand total of Rs. One lakh and the runners up with a cash prize of rupees fifty thousand and Rs. 10,000 for the third, forth and fifth places.
\nThe audition would start at Kohima on February 4, 11 am onwards, Zunheboto on February 6, 11 am onwards, Mokokchung on February 8, 11 am onwards, Tuensang on Februray 10, 11 am onwards and Dimapur on February 13, 11 am onwards.
