{"id":60872,"date":"2010-09-18T00:58:36","date_gmt":"2010-09-18T00:58:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2010\/09\/18\/leaders-of-niuland-nihokhu-areas-appeal-sf\/"},"modified":"2010-09-18T00:58:36","modified_gmt":"2010-09-18T00:58:36","slug":"leaders-of-niuland-nihokhu-areas-appeal-sf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2010\/09\/18\/leaders-of-niuland-nihokhu-areas-appeal-sf\/","title":{"rendered":"Leaders of Niuland &#038; Nihokhu areas appeal SF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>The mass based organizations of Niuland and Nihokhu have jointly voiced out against harassment caused to innocent public by a company of Assam Rifle personnel posted at Nihokhu while conducting road frisking between Niuland and Dimapur.     <br \/>A joint meeting of GB\u2019s Union, Students\u2019 Union, Women Hoho and Sports Association of Niuland and Nihokhu areas held at Niuland on September 17 discussed unnecessary grievance caused to innocent public during frisking conducted by security force at Niuland road.<br \/>The meeting led by Nihokhu Area GB\u2019s Union chairman, Heyito Achumi and Niuland Area GB\u2019s Union chairman Shikaho Sumi pointed out that everyday hundreds of innocent public, which includes college students, GBs and village council chairmen, church leaders, government servants and even sick patients needing timely medical attention were traveling between Niuland and Dimapur. <br \/>It asserted that on many occasion students missed their classes, sick people were unable to see the doctors, and government servants including public leaders miss important appointments due to unnecessary delay caused by frisking.      <br \/>The meeting viewed that public of the two areas were not against the conduct of frisking, which is the rightful responsibility of the security forces, but felt that the manner in which AR personnel of Nihokhu outpost conduct frisking was not something which the public expected from  the \u201cFriends of the Hill People\u201d.<br \/>Taking all aspects into consideration, leaders of the two areas requested the authority to understand and respect the sentiment of innocent public and also see the welfare of the public so that the public\/villagers of the two areas could also co-operate with them and allowed peace and unity prevail in the areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The mass based organizations of Niuland and Nihokhu have jointly voiced out against harassment caused to innocent public by a company of Assam Rifle personnel posted at Nihokhu while conducting road frisking between Niuland and Dimapur.
