26 teachers in Nagaland are to receive the State Award 2008 during the Teachers Day celebrations on September 5 at Kohima. According to official bulletin, of these 11 are from Higher Secondary and Secondary Schools (including 5 teachers from private schools) and 15 from Government Elementary Schools. The award includes a Certificate and cash award of Rs 10,000\/- each. Besides these, 16 teachers will receive financial assistance of Rs 5000\/- each, under the National Foundation for Teachers Welfare (NFTW) on the day.
