{"id":6262,"date":"2008-09-03T01:33:57","date_gmt":"2008-09-03T01:33:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2008\/09\/03\/pgsu-ultimatum-to-vc\/"},"modified":"2008-09-03T01:33:57","modified_gmt":"2008-09-03T01:33:57","slug":"pgsu-ultimatum-to-vc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2008\/09\/03\/pgsu-ultimatum-to-vc\/","title":{"rendered":"PGSU ultimatum to VC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Post Graduate Students\u2019 Union (PGSU), Nagaland University, comprising of three campuses &#8211; Lumami, Kohima and SASRD &#8211; have served an ultimatum to the vice chancellor to resume classes and other academic activities by September 8.<br \/>\nPGSU in a joint representation to the vice chancellor signed by presidents of the three campuses, said the patience of the students was running thin as their academic careers were put at stake due to the ongoing crisis in the university,<br \/>\nInforming that the students had resolved to protect their fundamental right to have classes at any cost, the unions also cautioned that if their ultimatum was not attended to at the earliest, the students would resort to their own course of action, which the authority would be held solely responsible.<br \/>\nIn a separate representation to NUTA, PGSU said the student bodies of the three campuses at a meeting held Tuesday, unanimously resolved to safeguard the interest of the students.<br \/>\n\u201cTime and again we have addressed all our grievances to Vice-Chancellor, we have also pleaded to all concerned in the University to solve the differences amicably, which has been given a deaf ear till date,\u201d stated the memorandum signed by PGSU presidents of three campuses.<br \/>\nPGSU also requested the teachers to bear in mind the sufferings of students and resolve their differences with vice-chancellor at the earliest. \u201cWe resolve to stand united to our right i.e., right to education, and failing to attend to our  ultimatum, the students will be compelled to take things in our own hands, to which  the authorities will be held solely responsible,\u201d the representation stated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Post Graduate Students\u2019 Union (PGSU), Nagaland University, comprising of three campuses &#8211; Lumami, Kohima and SASRD &#8211; have served an ultimatum to the vice chancellor to resume classes and other academic activities by September 8.
