{"id":63095,"date":"2010-02-21T01:09:09","date_gmt":"2010-02-21T01:09:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2010\/02\/21\/news-in-brief-785\/"},"modified":"2010-02-21T01:09:09","modified_gmt":"2010-02-21T01:09:09","slug":"news-in-brief-785","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2010\/02\/21\/news-in-brief-785\/","title":{"rendered":"news in brief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>PSC extends support to ENSF<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: Following the spot verification along NH-155 February 19 and having observed the \u201cpoor workmanship\u201d, the Phom Students\u2019 Conference (PSC) today said it strongly supported ENSF\u2019s stand and would continue to support the federation in its effort to safeguard the interest of the people of eastern Nagaland.<br \/>\nIn a statement, the PSC president Manlang Phom and vice president M.Chaupong Leinak expressed surprised on how \u201csome individuals\u201d and organisations supported the \u201cdefaulting contractor\u201d Pele Khezhie, also NCSU president, without witnessing the \u201cso-called completed work.\u201d<br \/>\nTerming the completed works as \u201cfar below specification in all aspects,\u201d the PSC said the responsible has failed to justify their stand before the people.<br \/>\nThe Phom students also observed that \u201cany responsible organisations should base their stand on reason\u201d and not under the influence of some \u201cvested interest or fear of some powerful people.\u201d<br \/>\nFurther, they felt that it would be wise on the part of any established organisation to admit one\u2019s own shortcomings rather than accusing the apex students\u2019 body like ENSF, which stood for common cause involving one third population of the state.<br \/>\nWorkshop on IEC &#038; HRD in Kiphire<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: A workshop on IEC &#038; HRD activities sponsored by PHED-CCDU Nagaland would be held on February 25 at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall, Kiphire town with Kohima Circle-I SE (PHED), Er. K. G. Sumi as resource person. All WATSAN committees of communitized villages 2008-09 under Kiphire district have been informed to depute three participants each to attend the workshop.<br \/>\nCCDU unit to organise prize distribution<br \/>\nKOHIMA: The CCDU unit of the state PHE department would be organizing a prize distribution ceremony at 10 on February 27 next at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima for winners of state level essay competition with Dr. Ngangshi K.Ao, Minister for PHED, Nagaland as the chief guest.
