Claiming that real motive behind the bandh call was to fulfill the ambition of few ANPBU officials, the GPRN\/NSCN said in its eyes ANPBU was the \u201creal extortion racket\u201d.<br \/>Also, maintaining that even tourist vehicles were not spared, the note said ANPBU collectors were prompt to stop every tourist bus and indulge in illegal collection.<br \/>It further appealed to private buses owners to ply freely without any pressure, disturbance, or harassment from any quarter. On ANPBU\u2019s proposal to hike passenger fares by 50%, the GPRN\/NSCN said it was another play to fill their pockets in the name of taxations. GPRN\/NSCN said it would ensure that bus owners and travelers were not victimized.<br \/>Meanwhile, in connection with ANPBU recent press release, which accused GPRN\/NSCN of collecting four different taxations on buses, the MIP clarified that it has nominal taxation policy on yearly vehicle tax on buses and counters, saying it was mandatory for all concerned members and every vehicle owner duly fulfils each year.<br \/>It further clarified that daily entry fee was collected only from incoming and outgoing inter-state bus transporters, and that no taxation was imposed on buses plying within Nagaland. The GPRN\/NSCN also asserted that ANPBU has crossed \u201call sense of decency by commenting of such subscriptions\u201d which has nothing to do with ANPBU or bus owners.<br \/>ANPBU apologises <br \/>ANPBU has tendered \u201cunconditional apology\u201d to Naga political groups for its earlier press statement issued by union president, highlighting the tax imposed on bus operators.
