{"id":6362,"date":"2008-09-13T00:42:48","date_gmt":"2008-09-13T00:42:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2008\/09\/13\/women-duped-in-money-scheme\/"},"modified":"2008-09-13T00:42:48","modified_gmt":"2008-09-13T00:42:48","slug":"women-duped-in-money-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2008\/09\/13\/women-duped-in-money-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Women duped in money scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Greed drives people mad and when it comes to \u2018money doubling scheme\u2019, there is a victim always willing to take the bait.<br \/>\nIn one of those numerous stories of duplicity, three credulous Naga women  had to take a long ride to Mangal Mangmara near Arunachal border where they had given Rs.50,000 in order to get double the amount from one Abu Shayed, son of Rajat Ali of Ahmedpur village.<br \/>\nFollowing a complaint, Nagaland Police along with their Arunachal counterpart Thursday morning raided the residence of Abu Shayed, but Shayed reportedly fled before the police arrived.<br \/>\nThe victims told police that while on their way to Guwahati by train an old  woman took them to Abu Shayed\u2019s residence at Mangal Mangmara where they stayed for two days. They said the old woman took an amount of Rs.50,000 with promise to double it.<br \/>\nBefore returning home, the woman had given a wrapped packet to be opened only after reaching home (Nagaland). To their shock they discovered that the packet contained nothing but black papers. According to the victims there were so many people who were duped by Abu Shayed. Some were duped to the tune of Rs. 15,00000.
