{"id":64046,"date":"2011-04-13T00:35:43","date_gmt":"2011-04-13T00:35:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2011\/04\/13\/gprn-nscn-slams-24-ar-2\/"},"modified":"2011-04-13T00:35:43","modified_gmt":"2011-04-13T00:35:43","slug":"gprn-nscn-slams-24-ar-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2011\/04\/13\/gprn-nscn-slams-24-ar-2\/","title":{"rendered":"GPRN\/NSCN slams 24 AR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>The GPRN\/NSCN has described the seizure of arms and ammunition at Chekiye Village April 9 last by 24 Assam Rifles as \u201canother test of patience on the Naga Army by the occupational forces.\u201d<br \/>\u201cAs per the ceasefire agreement, the arms were kept concealed and safely deposited which is clear that there was never a question of threat or intimidation to anyone in the area,\u201d a MIP press release stated, and added that \u201ccriminal action\u201d of 24th Assam Rifles contravened the ceasefire ground rules.<br \/>Stating that \u201coccupational forces\u201d would have to understand that they were \u201cstrangers\u201d in the land of the Nagas, the MIP said \u201cthey will never be able to crush the Nagas nor disarm the Nagas even if they place a soldier in every Naga home.\u201d<br \/>Pointing out that the AR raid blatantly violated clause D of the ceasefire ground rules, the GPRN\/NSCN demand the government of India to immediately release all arms to GPRN\/NSCN CFSB and initiate disciplinary action against the \u201cuntutored 24 AR officer in question and his men\u201d who conducted the raid.<br \/>\u201cGPRN\/NSCN questions the GOI as to why it has ordered the 24 AR to target the Naga Army everywhere while allowing IM cadres to openly maintain arms and men at different locations in and around Dimapur,\u201d the MIP statement said, adding that turning a \u201cblind eye to IM camps\u201d in Dimapur and raiding homes of \u201cGPRN\/NSCN national workers\u201d was unacceptable.<br \/>\u201cIt is not wrong to say that the 24 AR have either been bribed or accepted the idea of IM being the extension of GOI,\u201d the MIP alleged, and cautioned that \u201cNaga army\u201d, in future, would reserve the right to oppose any action of AR that violated agreed ceasefire ground rules.<br \/>The GPRN\/NSCN underlined that if at all any activity is reported anywhere, AR should have the wisdom to consult CFSB chairman through whom ceasefire mechanism could be enforced.<br \/>\u201cOnce again GPRN\/NSCN seeks the release of seized arms as the raid was conducted in contravention of the ceasefire ground rules,\u201d the MIP statement said. The personnel of 24 Assam Rifles recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from a house at Chekiye village Dimapur, police had said. The recovered items included: five AK 56 Rifles, one Chinese Rifle, one 9 MM carbine, one M-20 pistol, one 9MM pistol, AK 56 ammunition \u2013 535 rounds; 9MM ammunition \u2013 15 rounds; M20 ammunition \u2013 four rounds and one AK 56 spare magazine.
