IBAPWO through a press note issued by its president, N.Rhuletsu warned to take up the issue to the higher level and cease functioning of all activities under BADP in the seven border blocks of four districts in Nagaland, if the government failed to deliver any positive response.<br \/>\nSome of the 6 point charter demands earlier served to the government include creation of a new department to be known as Office of Border Area Development Programme (BADP) under DUDA, opening of seven Public Grievances Cell in the seven border blocks bordering Myanmar for peoples\u2019 welfare, focusing on the11th Five Year plan on allocation of more funds from the union home ministry under BADP to check infiltration etc.<br \/>\nThe IBAPWO informed that the International Border Area is functioning with its wide Network covering 136 villages with an overall population of approximately 2,49,996 people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Displeased over the government\u2019s un-responsive attitude to its 6 point charter of demands submitted to state chief minister on August 2 and also a reminder to the same on August 27, the International Border Area Peoples\u2019 Welfare Organisation (IBAPWO) has served an ultimatum to the state government for immediate fulfillment and redressal of its demands.
