The festival was marked with cultural items that were presented by the eight wards of Tuli while traditional Moats\u00fc ken was presented by Merangkong Medemsanger Putu.There was a good turn out of people from various areas in Tuli who attended the function.
District and session judge, member secretary Nagaland State Legal Service authority, Mayang Lima and editor, Tir Yimyim, K. Temjen were chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest stressed on the importance of development. He said Tuli has vast natural resources which could usher a new era in development if properly exploited. He also stressed on unity for development and also importance of accommodation of outsiders in the area for development and progress of Tuli.
He also lauded the role and contribution of women in social progress and advocated women\u2019s reservation for the uplift of women in the state.
Guest of honour Temjen Jamir, editor Tir Yim Yim, in his brief speech highlighted upon the upcoming infrastructure development such as ongoing project for construction of railway line to facilitate the paper mill and and future prospect of air connectivity in Tuli town.
He urged the people of the area to join hand in taking advantage of the potential of the area to usher in economic development. He said if intellectuals and businessmen produced by Tuli who are presently scattered over towns and cities could join hands, then Tuli could become one of the biggest commercial towns of the state
