According to a statement issued by FGN joint secretary G. Zhimomi the slain cadre was a \u201cdeserter\u201d who had \u201cbreached the federal army code of conduct\u201d by deserting his duties for five times. The FGN said consequent to his fourth desertion the slain cadre was captured by \u201cNaga army\u201d and was taken to his native village where an agreement was made not to desert his duties further. Subsequently after his release, the FGN claimed late Nechizo deserted his duties for fifth time and defected to NSCN\/GPRN along with arms \u201cwhich led to his re-arrest by the Naga army where he died in custody of the Naga army.\u201d The FGN, however, stated that at this juncture of \u201cNaga political peace reconciliation\u201d, it condemned the \u201cunfortunate death\u201d of Nechizo while in custody of \u201cNaga army\u201d, affirming that \u201cappropriate justice\u201d would be served if any \u201cfoul play\u201d was involved. <br \/>(Condemnations on p-2)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FGN Monday said that the slain NSCN (I-M) cadre one \u201cpte\u201d Nechizo died in its custody following his apprehension by \u201cNaga army\u201d.
