{"id":64345,"date":"2010-03-17T01:10:47","date_gmt":"2010-03-17T01:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2010\/03\/17\/42-villages-receive-nirmal-gram-puraskar\/"},"modified":"2010-03-17T01:10:47","modified_gmt":"2010-03-17T01:10:47","slug":"42-villages-receive-nirmal-gram-puraskar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2010\/03\/17\/42-villages-receive-nirmal-gram-puraskar\/","title":{"rendered":"42 villages receive Nirmal Gram Puraskar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/NCDTSKSKBGWGNDAZGYVU.JPG>42 villages from nine districts of Nagaland were awarded with Nirmal Gram Puraskar (NGP) 2009 by state chief minister Neiphiu Rio at the distribution ceremony held at multipurpose hall \u2018A\u2019, IG stadium, here Tuesday.<br \/>\nThe representatives from respective villages received award in cash ranging from Rs.50, 000 to Rs. 4 lakh along with memento.<br \/>\nThese villages have been recognized at the National Level Award on the Total Sanitation Campaign.<br \/>\nAddressing the distribution ceremony, Nagaland chief minister congratulated all the award winning villages for their achievement and also the PHE department for successful implementation of the programme.<br \/>\nAdvocating that award winning villages should maintain consistency and show a \u201cway of life with cleanliness\u201d to rest the villages, the chief minister said he would inspect winning villages during his tour across the state in future.<br \/>\nAlso, while seeking active support and cooperation of the women, NGOs, churches; student bodies in the total sanitation drive and make Nagaland a fully sanitized state, Rio said if all were sanitized it would lead to a healthy, wealthy, happy and a peaceful environment. Further, Rio underscored the need to impart correct message on sanitation to children so that they could make a habit to maintain sanitation from their tender age.<br \/>\nDelivering welcome address, the state minister for PHED Dr. Ngangshi K. Ao said that extensive campaign has been initiated in all the 11 districts of Nagaland with an objective to fulfill government of India\u2019s target for \u201cClean Villages\u201d by 2012.<br \/>\nEarlier, state chief secretary Lalthara, who is also the chairman of state water sanitation mission, chaired the function. Shorts speeches on behalf of 2009 NGP winners were delivered by Sukhalu village WATASN committee secretary Honili Yeptho and Aliba village WATSAN committee member Chubawati.<br \/>\nThe award winning villages include Nsunyu, Chunlika, Phenwhenyu and Peducha, (all from Kohima district), Zapami (Phek district), Sukhalu, Shevishe, Kiltomi, Ghukhuyi, Achikuchu \u201cB\u201d, Surumi, Kholeboto , Tichipami, Phuye Old, Achikhu \u201cA\u201d, Nihochse(N), Tokiye Vill, Zhekhutoi, Phuye New(all from Zunheboto district), Yanthamo (Wokha district) Aliba ,Khari , Chungliyimsen, Chuchuyimlang, Ungma, Mokokchung village, Longmisa, Longjang, Sungratsu, (All from Mokokchung district), Ngangpong (Tuensang district), Lampong Shengha(Mon district), Pihekhu, Zutoi, Razaphema, Zuikhu, Tenyiphe II, Shito, Zukihe, Hevishe, Shotovi, Tsethrongse (All from Dimapur district) and Benreu (Peren district).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>42 villages from nine districts of Nagaland were awarded with Nirmal Gram Puraskar (NGP) 2009 by state chief minister Neiphiu Rio at the distribution ceremony held at multipurpose hall \u2018A\u2019, IG stadium, here Tuesday.
