Emphasizing on the constitution of India that guaranteed freedom of religion, Dr Shurhozelie said the incidents of violence against the minority Christians had seriously undermined the secular credentials of the country.<br \/>\nThe NPF felt that the government of India and the respective state governments needed to immediately take all necessary steps for the protection of the Christians.
