The accused allegedly waylaid and attempted to rape her. However, on hearing her scream the girl\u2019s mother came to her rescue and the accused fled the scene. The village council kept the accused under observation with strict restriction on his movements. <br \/>However, on finding that the accused continued to defy restrictions and found loitering around the vicinity of the victim\u2019s house, the matter was informed to the police on June 12 and a FIR lodged with the north police station.
