A statement of \u201cmaj.gen.\u201d Nyemlang Konyak, \u201cgeneral staff officer-I (GSO-I), GHQ, Naga army\u201d NSCN\/GPRN Khaplang faction, released by MIP, said the resolution was made during an emergency meeting held June 22, 2011.
Stating that there cannot be two opinions, the GSO-I said \u201cour position is clear and firm. chairman Khaplang was our leader and will always remain the same and we, the Naga Army at the GHQ vow to stand by it till the end.\u201d
Maintaining that chairman Khaplang was \u201cundoubtedly\u201d the most \u201cundisputed Naga leader\u201d, \u201cmaj.gen.\u201d Nyemlang Konyak said Khaplang\u2019s \u201cstrong will and determination\u201d to see a \u201cliberated Nagaland\u201d and to stand steadfastly for the cause of the Naga people has always kept him \u201cunshakable.\u201d
\u201cHe has not only successfully kept the Nagas of eastern Nagaland united but has also jealously safeguard the Naga territory from the marauding other ethnic groups,\u201d the \u201cGSO-I\u201d said.
Asserting that Khaplang has always given equal opportunity to every tribe and community, \u201cmaj.gen.\u201d Nyemlang Konyak said Khaplang\u2019s contribution for the \u201cNation\u201d was invaluable and cannot be questioned. \u201cNagas must know that, unfortunately today we may be divided in two or three different countries but our country and the rights over our land and territory remains the same,\u201d Nyemlang Konyak said.
Wangtin responds
to \u2018expulsion azah\u2019
NSCN\/GPRN (Khaplang) \u201ckilonser\u201d Y.Wangtin Naga, responding to \u201cgen.\u201d Khole\u2019s \u201cexpulsion azah\u201d on him, Thursday said he \u201cfelt so funny\u201d when expulsion azah appeared in papers wherein his name and two other national workers names \u201cappeared to be expelled from their breakaway group.\u201d
Calling \u201cgen.\u201d Khole \u201cmy father\u201d, Wangtin said \u201c (Khole) should realize that something goes wrong with him and his political career. Some forces behind him misplaced him to the extent of never return. Let God mercy prevail\u201d and appealed the \u201cgroup of people misguiding our great general\u201d not to further \u201cmisuse him, let him hold honour and respect till his last breath.\u201d
Wangtin said any \u201cazah\/azahs\u201d from \u201crecently break away group\u201d was nothing to do with him or any workers under NSCN (Khaplang) group because, he said at no point of time they have been \u201ceither enrolled or inducted in to their fold.\u201d \u201cStill we enjoy our confidence, and services under NSCN\/GPRN (Khaplang),\u201d he said, adding \u201cthis action shows how frustrated they are.\u201d
NSCN\/GPRN (Khaplang) \u201ckilonser\u201d went on to maintain that \u201crather, any NSCN\/GPRN workers irrespective of their ranks and files found involving in the activities of break away group will be expelled from NSCN\/GPRN without any reservation.\u201d
Urging Nagas that \u201csuch sinister design (s) in Naga society\u201d was not a new thing, Wangtin said: \u201cLet us therefore stand firmly in defence of our genuine cause and not wind blown under the direction may shake our firmness.\u201d
He asserted that NSCN\/GPRN under S.S. Khaplang was \u201cstill intact\u201d and that \u201crecent crisis\u201d would have no impact on NSCN\/GPRN dominancy over entire eastern Nagaland (Myanmar), southern Nagaland (Manipur sector), Tirap-Changlang (Arunachal Pradesh) and present Nagaland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
