During pro bono surgeries, seven diseased uteruses, one ovarian tumour and 15 diseased appendix were successfully removed. <br \/>Medicines, sutures, oxygen, nitrous oxide and carbon dioxide required for surgery along with antibiotics and IV fluids etc., were given free treatement.<br \/>Meanwhile, the organizers expressed gratitude to medical superintendent, Civil Hospital Phek, Dr. Tia and staff especially the OT team, Phek Area Public Organisation, NAP commandant Phek for hosting the team, Erbe and Covidien Ligasure Health Care Associates for providing VIO 300D and force triad respectively which enabled the team to perform surgeries with the latest state of the art cautery machines and participants for the success of the camp.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rotary Club Kohima in partnership with Putuonuo Nursing Home Kohima organised free laparoscopy hysterectomy\/appendicectomy camp on March 25 and 26 at Civil Hospital Phek.
