The meeting was chaired by president CANSSEA Dr. K David Sema. <br \/>The president claimed that it was due to concerted effort of all core group members, divisional units\/sub-divisional units, confederated service associations and individuals that 6th ROP effecting from 1st June 2008 notional fixation and 1st April 2010 full implementation with one month additional arrear to be paid in the month December 2010 could be made possible. <br \/>Owing to pending court case between state government and CANSSEA, the effective date of 1.1.2006 could not be arrived at, the option of 1.6.2008 with notional increment and effective date of payment from 1.4.2010 with one month arrear (March 2010) had to be accepted as 13th (thirteenth) finance commission could not accommodate the 6th ROP.<br \/>CANSSEA in a press release informed that, on acceptance of 6th ROP, the president appraised the house of how 6th ROP Demand Forum came into being and subsequently to election of new CANSSEA tenure of office bearers on May 11. <br \/>However, CANSSEA expressed regret that some departments have opted 6th ROP before the state government and CANSSEA signed the MoU on June 29. It stated that since ROP was an issue of common interest, it felt that in future such common issues should be addressed to with a common voice. Further, with regard to anomalies in implementation of 6th ROP, if any, affected departments have been informed to submit details to CANSSEA on or before July 10 for further necessary action.<br \/>Meanwhile, CANSSEA has informed that it has approved search\/nomination committee report for office bearers for the tenure 2010-13 during the unit\u2019s annual general meeting held on July 1. The new team would be headed by Temjentoshi (geology &#038; mining) as president, Chandan Basra (sericulture) as working president and Hekuto Zhimomi (O\/S L&#038;R). CANSSEA Dimapur unit has expressed gratitude to CANSSEA central office bearers, core members and government of Nagaland for resolving 6th central ROP issue. <br \/>Further, Mokokchung unit of CANSSEA supported the agreement signed by the central office CANSSEA in connection with the implementation of 6th ROP 2010 with Government of Nagaland.
