{"id":713,"date":"2021-08-20T09:52:31","date_gmt":"2021-08-20T09:52:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/?p=713"},"modified":"2021-08-20T09:52:36","modified_gmt":"2021-08-20T09:52:36","slug":"world-photography-day-observed-in-kohima","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2021\/08\/20\/world-photography-day-observed-in-kohima\/","title":{"rendered":"World Photography Day observed in Kohima"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dimapur, Aug 19 | Publish Date: 8\/19\/2021 11:50:29 AM IST<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Joining the rest of the World, Kohima celebrated :World Photography Day\u201d with a photo exhibition and sale organised by Team Noksa at D\u2019Cafe, Kohima on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In brief speech, special guest of the exhibition, rtd director DIPR, Limawati Ao, encouraged youths to take up photography as a profession unhesitatingly since it helps in promoting the State and its culture along with good earning potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Urging interested photographers to not lose heart because of lack of expensive gadgets, Limawati said one can start with whatever camera they have even if it was cheap ones and gradually upgrade their gears as they progress in their career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is not the camera that matters but the person behind the lens who makes the whole difference,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Limawati went on to say that Nagaland was blessed with beautiful landscapes filled with natural and breath-taking sights which had earned a reputation for itself even in the global scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even people from the film industry are interested to come here and shoot and therefore Nagas should seize the opportunity and promote the State, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An avid photographer himself, Limawati said apart from it being a profession to many people, there was also satisfaction in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recalling his time working as a government servant, Limawati said he had come across many talented photographers and photo journalists in the State who were well known even in the national and international fronts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He extended greetings to the gathered youths and also hoped that starting with this celebration there would be more of such events even in the days to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He later opened the photo exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), advisor, Theja Meru in a short remark highlighted the important role a photographer plays in the daily lives of the people and the entertainment chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He announced that Embassy of Israel had informed of its eagerness to hold a photo exhibition and therefore he urged the photographers to come forward to collaborate for the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Theja expressed his happiness at the opportunity of having able to spend the day with community and further wishes them the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was attended by photographers from in and around the State.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dimapur, Aug 19 | Publish Date: 8\/19\/2021 11:50:29 AM IST &nbsp;Joining the rest of the World, Kohima celebrated :World Photography Day\u201d with a photo exhibition and sale organised by Team Noksa at D\u2019Cafe, Kohima on Thursday.
