GPRN\/NSCN kilonser and also the supervisor of the CFSB, Wangtin Naga condemned the act of NSCN (I-M) activists in breaking hard earned peace process and sought clarification from them if they were really honouring the Covenant of Reconciliation.
He said that the NSCN (I-M) might give multiple reasons to justify their \u201cinhuman action\u201d but that no amount of reason could justify their \u201cterrorist act.\u201d
Wangtin also questioned the government of India as to why the NSCN (I-M) was allowed to make their permanent station in Tizit which was not their designated camp. The CFSB supervisor accused the Nagaland Police in Tizit of being in nexus with the NSCN (I-M) and allowing them to check all kinds of vehicles at Nagaland check post Tizit. He said that the August 6 firing incident took place 50 \u2013 100 feet away from the check gate which was also between the check gate and police station. Wangtin wondered whether the state police brass was aware of such nexus and said that the responsibility of the incident would fall upon the office-in-charge and head of the police department in Tizit.
ENPO demands action
Expressing anguish over August 6 incident at Namsa, Tizit where a 19-year old girl was hit and wounded by stray bullets, Eastern Nagaland Peoples\u2019 Organization (ENPO) Sunday demanded that action be taken against those involved.
ENPO president Y. Mongko Phom and general secretary Toshi Wunutung, described the nature of the incident a \u201cextremely disturbing\u201d and uncalled for.
Both have reminded all Naga factions and \u201dpolitical groups\u201d of the joint Tuensang summit 2007 resolution to strive for \u201ctotal cessation of all forms of violence\u201d, and also reaffirmed at Kiphire in 2009. While urging all groups to completely restrain from such activities, the ENPO cautioned that \u201ccontradictory activities\u201d would compel the organization to extend non-cooperation against violating parties.
