\nAdvani made the comment during his speech in Guwahati on Sunday adding that Singh had \u201cdevalued\u201d his office as no decision was taken without the consent of Congress president, Sonia Gandhi.
\nNPCC president, K V Pusa in a statement said the remarks against Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi in Guwahati was made with the sole objective to smear the good image of the two leaders whose performances were beyond questionable. \u201cThe remark of L K Advani stating that Prime Minster Manmohan Singh is incompetent is totally wrong and false\u201d Pusa rebutted.
\nHe described Singh as the \u201cunsurpassed and strongest\u201d prime minister the country has ever produced and that the charges of communal party like BJP was nothing but a case of venting their frustration to mislead the innocent people to their advantage as polls are nearing.
\nThe NPCC president observed that besides giving a boost to the country\u2019s economy under the dynamic leadership of Singh, several reforms have also been made for the benefit of the common people. He attributed India\u2019s international stand today to the farsightedness of prime minister, Singh.
\nPusa said the country has progressed considerably under the guidance of Sonia Gandhi and expressed hope that it would not go wrong while serving the people. He said any decision of the Congress and the UPA government was a collective decision unlike the BJP which was autocratic in functioning.
\nAsserting that decisions were being taken for the larger interest of the people, Pusa rubbished Advani\u2019s accusations as mere speculation that held no water.
