{"id":7264,"date":"2008-10-01T00:48:33","date_gmt":"2008-10-01T00:48:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2008\/10\/01\/bjp-set-for-ls-polls-with-save-india\/"},"modified":"2008-10-01T00:48:33","modified_gmt":"2008-10-01T00:48:33","slug":"bjp-set-for-ls-polls-with-save-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2008\/10\/01\/bjp-set-for-ls-polls-with-save-india\/","title":{"rendered":"BJP set for LS polls with \u2018Save India\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Trying to capitalize on the double-digit inflation rate and spate of terror attacks in the country, the BJP has announced that the party\u2019s slogan in the next Lok Sabha election would be \u201cSave India\u201d- from price rise and \u201chome-grown terrorism.\u201d<br \/>\nReiterating the party\u2019s position that the Congress-led UPA government was soft on terror, senior BJP leader and co-incharge Nagaland State, Siddharth Nath Singh at a press briefing here Tuesday said the appeasement and vote-bank politics of the Congress party was responsible for rise in home-grown terrorism, which he ascribed to HuJi militants and illegal migrants from Bangladesh.<br \/>\n\u201cFor the Congress, there\u2019s only one community that votes,\u201d Siddharth said and alleged that the party was promoting and encouraging \u201cinfiltration\u201d of illegal migrants from across the border for their vote bank.<br \/>\nHe also said right after the Supreme Court struck down the IM (DT) Act, the Congress amended the Foreigners Act \u201cso that detection of foreign nationals becomes impossible.\u201d<br \/>\nThe BJP leader exuded confidence that the party would form the next government at the Centre with a thumping majority since the Congress party was \u201cbuckling under pressure of appeasement and vote bank politics.\u201d<br \/>\nOn price rise, Siddharth said the country was heading towards recession and a death trap due to inflation, which he alleged was a creation of the UPA Government. He said the Congress owed an explanation to the nation why the party had not been able to tame inflation despite fall in global prices of petroleum products.<br \/>\nAsked on the unabated attacks on Christians by Hindu fundamentalists in Orissa and Karnataka, Siddharth said \u201cthe BJP strongly condemns these acts of violence and vandalism, which cannot be condoned or justified.
