{"id":7286,"date":"2008-10-04T01:06:45","date_gmt":"2008-10-04T01:06:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2008\/10\/04\/cong-reminder-on-dan-govts-duty\/"},"modified":"2008-10-04T01:06:45","modified_gmt":"2008-10-04T01:06:45","slug":"cong-reminder-on-dan-govts-duty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2008\/10\/04\/cong-reminder-on-dan-govts-duty\/","title":{"rendered":"Cong reminder on DAN Govt\u2019s duty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>The State Congress has reminded the DAN Government that it was the bounden duty of the State government to provide security to its citizens and to bring to book all those who violate the laws.<br \/>\nNagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president KV Pusa, MLA, in a press release said the repeated demands of the Congress party to the State government to enforce law of the land, had fallen on deaf ears as violence and fratricidal killings continued unabated, thereby endangering the lives and property of the people.<br \/>\nNPCC felt that the continued violence and loss of lives was mainly due to DAN government\u2019s contention that factional clashes vis-\u00e0-vis ongoing violence in the State was a political problem.<br \/>\n\u201cInflicting casualties on innocent civilians and committing violence cannot be termed as \u2018political problem\u2019 and therefore the Congress party once again asks the State government to perform its bounden duty and secure people from current wave of violence,\u201d NPCC said.<br \/>\nThe Congress party also urged Naga national groups to shun all forms of violence and desist from fratricidal killings, as per the common wishes of Naga people.<br \/>\n\u201cPeace is what Naga people are longing for and that fratricidal killing is not Nagas\u2019 way of life as this is alien to our culture,\u201d NPCC added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The State Congress has reminded the DAN Government that it was the bounden duty of the State government to provide security to its citizens and to bring to book all those who violate the laws.
