All together 168 personnel from 11 districts and the state headquarter under NREGA were trained. The training was organized by the department of Rural Development in collaboration with the state NIC.<br \/>\nTo ensure transparency and vigilance in implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS), the Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India has developed a database Management Information System (MIS) called &#8216;NREGA Soft&#8217;, which has the functionality of monitoring and tracking the scheme right from registration, issue of job cards and demand of work, sanctioning and payment of wages to assets created etc. Reporting through MIS format will be fully functional in the state by the end of December 2008.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the Rural Development department has expressed sincere gratitude to the State NIC for the successful conduct of the training.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two weeks &#8216;Training on NREGS-MIS Monitoring and Reporting System&#8217; for Data Entry Operators, Computer Assistants, Accounts Assistants and Technical Assistants at the state NIC Training Centre, Kohima, concluded on October 24.
