{"id":7325,"date":"2008-10-04T01:02:32","date_gmt":"2008-10-04T01:02:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2008\/10\/04\/3-nscn-k-activists-killed-in-kohima\/"},"modified":"2008-10-04T01:02:32","modified_gmt":"2008-10-04T01:02:32","slug":"3-nscn-k-activists-killed-in-kohima","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2008\/10\/04\/3-nscn-k-activists-killed-in-kohima\/","title":{"rendered":"3 NSCN-K activists killed in Kohima"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>In a renewed turf war between the NSCN factions, three NSCN (K) activists were killed when the rival NSCN (I-M) attacked a house reported to be the transit camp of NSCN (K) at Lower Agri colony, Kohima, in the wee hours of Friday.<br \/>\nAccording to police sources, the NSCN (I-M) activists attacked the rival camp around 12.55 a.m, and intermittent firing continued till 1.45 a.m. Police said one hand grenade also exploded inside the house.<br \/>\nThe bodies of the three NSCN (K) activists killed in the attack were identified as \u2018Lt\u2019 Toshika (28), son of Vikhe of Tuzuhumi village, Zunheboto district, \u2018Lt.\u2019 Njonga Rengma (35), son of Logvusen of Rumisinyu village, and \u2018Sgt Maj\u2019 Mughapu (26), son of Vikhei of Satoi village, Zunheboto district.<br \/>\nPolice also recovered 108 empty cases of AK 47, 42 empty cases of 9 mm pistol and the safety pin of a grenade from the site.<br \/>\nPolice suspected that some NSCN (K) activists might have escaped under cover of darkness.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, condoling the death of the three NSCN (K) activists, the publicity cell of \u2018GPRN\/NSCN\u2019 in a press release said the incident was a stark reminder to the Nagas that enemies were never willing to reconcile either with themselves or with the Nagas.<br \/>\n\u201cGPRN deeply mourns the death of the slain comrades. The great vision they held shall never be blurred.
