{"id":7327,"date":"2008-10-04T01:06:17","date_gmt":"2008-10-04T01:06:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2008\/10\/04\/more-time-sought-on-women-quota\/"},"modified":"2008-10-04T01:06:17","modified_gmt":"2008-10-04T01:06:17","slug":"more-time-sought-on-women-quota","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2008\/10\/04\/more-time-sought-on-women-quota\/","title":{"rendered":"More time sought on women quota"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>A crucial meeting of all political parties of the State to discuss on the 108 (Amendment) Act, 2008 (Women Reservation Bill) relating to 33 % reservation of seats for women in the Parliament and state assemblies, convened by the speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) on Friday, has sought  more time saying \u201cthe matter was very sensitive.\u201d<br \/>\nMembers who attended the meeting said the house unanimously decided to convene another meeting of all political parties toward the last part of November, keeping in mind the sensitive nature of the issue.<br \/>\nIt was learned that the Union Government had written to various states seeking their opinion on the 33 % reservation of seats for women in the parliament and state assemblies. \u201cAll members who spoke sought more time,\u201d a senior political party leader who attended the meeting told this correspondent.
