NPF, associate press secretary, Shilumar Ao in a press release said the statement carried the message that all should be a part of the process towards oneness. It said Rio was clear in his statement that achieving understanding and oneness was the collective responsibility of all sections and that he had appealed the Nagas to come forward with initiatives and contributions towards achieving this aim. The NPF said it had never termed the Naga national workers as \u201cmilitants\u201d and accused the Congress of calling them \u201cmilitants and insurgents\u201d. The NPF said it could furnish documentary evidence to prove the point.
