According to ENSF president Hawang T. Wangsha and vice president Likhumse Sangtam, the federation had waited patiently for the past five to six months as requested by minister for road and bridges, despite tripartite resolution of ENPO\/ENSF\/ENWO.
However, the federation appears to have run out of patience, as it has reminded all the contractors, firms of NEC, NLCPR, PMGSY, PM package and state plan (R&B), undertaking road construction and related works within \u201ceastern Nagaland\u201d, to resume their respective works and complete within stipulated time as per government work orders.
\u201cThe federation had received numerous complaints from ENSF federating units and general public concerning the poor workmanship and delaying attitude of the contractors\/firms,\u201d the signatories said, and cautioned that any \u201cdefaulting\u201d contractors\/firms would be \u201cstrongly noted by the federation.\u201d
Further, reminding the contractors\/firms to execute and implement works as per prescribed norms, the ENSF said: \u201cif any necessary problem arises hampering the works, the contractors\/firms may intimate the federation immediately.\u201d
The ENSF also urged \u201cnational workers\u201d to retrain from \u201cunnecessary and unauthorized taxation and harassment\u201d, which it described hampered the common development.
Meanwhile, it also urged the responsible department not to allow withdrawal of bills pertaining to NH-202, NEC, NLCPR, PMGSY, PM package and state plan (R&B) unless the workmanship was maintained, completed and spot verified by the competent authority\u201d.
