{"id":7390,"date":"2008-11-25T00:33:55","date_gmt":"2008-11-25T00:33:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2008\/11\/25\/asu-not-to-allow-cmcf-interview\/"},"modified":"2008-11-25T00:33:55","modified_gmt":"2008-11-25T00:33:55","slug":"asu-not-to-allow-cmcf-interview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2008\/11\/25\/asu-not-to-allow-cmcf-interview\/","title":{"rendered":"ASU not to allow CMCF interview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Displeased over non-inclusion of its representatives in the Selection Board of the Chief Ministers\u2019 Corpus Fund for Kohima District, the Angami Students\u2019 Union (ASU) has decided not to allow the selection interview to be conducted \u201cunder any circumstances\u201d on November 25 until a proper agreement is reached at.<br \/>\nASU in a joint press release issued by it joint secretary general, Zakie Khate and auditor general, Kusolie Yhokha said that the exclusion was in clear violation of the guidelines unlike in other Districts where every apex student bodies in all the districts were represented in the Board.<br \/>\nASU said that the Board intentionally ignored the rights and concerns of its sincere appeal to have their representation in the Selection Board as per the guidelines of the CMCF.<br \/>\nThe ASU expressed \u201calarm\u201d  over alleged political recommendations in the selection process while sidelining \u201cdeserving candidates\u201d while noting that \u2018significant stakeholders\u2019 were not adequately represented in the selection board.<br \/>\nASU also alleged that beneficiaries from other districts were chosen for the CM\u2019s Corpus Fund for Kohma district, without proper verification or identity. ASU also demanded the selection board comprise of non-partisan body.   Expressing grave concern over the selection process, ASU alleged the criteria were \u201cfavouritism and nepotism\u201d through \u201chigh ranking officials\u201d and powerful network within the selection board. It also expressed concern over misuse of CM\u2019s Corpus Fund by some beneficiaries.<br \/>\nIn the light of its allegations, the ASU urged all high ranking officers and political networks against issuing any recommendations and that a proper verification be made of beneficiaries to filter out those from other districts as was being done.
