The programme was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Mon in collaboration with the district fishery department. 25 Fish farmers from Tizit town and surrounding villages were given intensive training and practical demonstrations utilizing all available resources of the Government Fish farm, Tizit. Chief guest S. Doungel, ADC, Tizit in his inaugural speech stressed upon the farmers to do away with subsidy oriented attitude and built up work culture to uplift the rural economy. Chitenlemba, DFO, Mon and P.K. Along, Ex MLA, Tizit also spoke during the occasion. D. K. Chetri, SDAO, Aboi and Programme co-ordinator i\/c who chaired the programme in his keynote address highlighted the activities of KVK, Mon and said that the centre acted as knowledge repository for farmers in all agri and allied disciplines .Resource person for the training included Yehoto, Ext. Officer (FFDA), from department of Fishery, Dimapur.
